I'm sitting here watching snowflakes fly and I'm about to write about peonies. A bit ironic, right?! Well, peonies were the clear winner in my favorite flower poll last month. Peonies are a beautiful flower--I love their color range, their lush petal count and they look lovely with many other flowers. They are a favorite in my garden and I can't resist cutting some each summer to make a fresh vase for my dining room table. Who wouldn't love a bouquet of these beautiful blooms?I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. There's a lot to be thankful for this year! Now we are approaching December, which is always hectic with parties, gift exchanges and
shopping! It's a crazy time of year, but that didn't stop my girlfriend Holly from getting married on December 22nd several years ago. She wore a crisp white dress with long white gloves and carried a huge bouquet of deep red roses. It was even snowing when we left the church, which seemed perfectly cued for her winter wonderland wedding. I recently ran across a picture and can't resist posting it. How neat would it be to decorate your church like this for your winter wedding? I absolutely love the white icy willow tied with fresh garlands as a pew decoration. Stunning!
